Jeremy Scarlett, MD

A Midwesterner to the core, Dr. Scarlett has resided in five states in the heartland. Raised in a small farming community in central Illinois, Dr. Scarlett graduated from the University of Notre Dame with an undergraduate degree in economics.

He then went on to pursue a medical degree at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. He completed his residency in anesthesiology at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri, and worked as a trauma anesthesiologist before heading to Washington University in St. Louis for a fellowship in pain management. He was an assistant professor on faculty at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. Dr. Scarlett has a clinical interest in spinal, arthritic and cancer pain.

"Pain is an unfortunate part of the human experience that, with modern technology and expertise, need not lead to the loss of hope or endless despair. I try to take an empathetic approach to those suffering from intractable pain and provide honest assessments and successful strategies through appropriate interventional and medical management. I enter a covenant with each of my patients to work together as a team with an open mind to find the strategy to minimize pain and maximize function and quality of life."
